About Sessions
From the days of pickin’ on the porch to Johnson City Sessions to the Down Home, Johnson City has a rich musical history full of many genres, styles, and sounds. Sessions in the Stacks is a way to honor the history of our area and provide new musicians (and some old favorites) with a unique, warm, inviting environment to play an intimate concert for some of their closest followers and provide a platform for those looking for that next step.

Join us for a curated evening of live music nestled within the cozy corners of our bookstore. Each session features a local or regional artist sharing their craft in the warm glow of the stacks. Come early, shop a little, and settle in for something timeless.
