Returns & Exchanges

• Books (New) & Merchandise: Returns and exchanges are accepted within 14 days of purchase, provided the item is in its original condition (unread, undamaged, and with no marks or creases). A valid receipt is required.

• Used Books: All sales of used books are final and cannot be returned or exchanged.

• Local Artwork & Handmade Goods: Due to the nature of locally made and handcrafted items, all sales are final unless the product is defective or damaged at the time of purchase.

• Music Albums (Vinyl): Returns or exchanges are only accepted for defective items, and they must be returned in their original packaging within 14 days of purchase.

• Special Orders: Items ordered specifically for a customer cannot be returned unless defective or damaged upon receipt.

Refund Method

• Original Payment Method: Refunds will be issued to the original form of payment.

• Store Credit: If preferred, customers may receive store credit instead of a refund.

• Exchanges: Customers may exchange an item for another of equal or lesser value. If the exchanged item is of lesser value, the difference will be issued as store credit.

• Personalized or signed books

• Opened or used stationery and journals

Damaged or Defective Items

If you receive an item that is defective or damaged, please notify us within 7 days of purchase. We will offer a replacement or full refund, depending on stock availability.

Returns Process

• In-Store Returns: Bring the item along with the original receipt to our store at 324 E Main Street, Johnson City, TN 37601 for processing.

• Mailed Returns: Customers may ship eligible returns at their own expense. Contact us at support@johnsonsliterarydepot.com before mailing any returns.
